El Cerrito Lions Club 80th Anniversary Celebration
Join us in celebrating 80 years of service!!! Saturday, February 9th 2008 at 12:00 noon at the Mira Vista Country Club 7901 Cutting Boulevard, El Cerrito, CA 94530. There will be an exceptional luncheon buffet and entertainment. Donation: $35. Contact either Barbara Renteria at (510)237-0374 or Maria Hauger at (510) 232-2138.
RECYCLE USED EYEGLASSES AND HEARING AIDS
Please donate your used eyeglasses at the following drop-off locations: El Cerrito Recycle Center (end of Schmidt Lane), El Cerrito Community Center (Moeser Avenue), and Mechanics Bank (Fairmont/San Pablo Avenue branch), or give them to one of our members. Your used eyeglasses and hearing aids are cleaned, evaluated and fitted to prescriptions in the blind centers. These glasses are then redistributed back among those in need who cannot afford to buy them. Some of the fundraisers that the El Cerrito Lions Club has been involved in include:

Holiday Gift Wrapping
In addition, the El Cerrito Lions Club partakes in the following activities:
Support the Oakland and Diablo Valley Blind Centers
Collect, clean and donate used eyeglasses
Student Speakers Contest. Make S'mores for Special Kids Day
